What is the Bridge?
One of the cutting-edge technologies to help our patients through the symptoms of opioid withdrawal RecoverUs uses is the Bridge. But what is it?
Innovative Medical Device Helps Remove the Symptoms Of Opioid Withdrawal in 8 Minutes or Less
RecoverUS is the only Detox facility in Illinois to use the Bridge, an FDA-approved medical device, to curb the symptoms of Opioid withdrawal. The Bridge is a gentle neuro-stimulation system (NSS) device that attaches just behind your earlobe. It’s a non-narcotic treatment that works nearly 100 percent of the time by gently stimulating the nerves in your brain to create a feeling of calm and ease. The response to the Bridge happens within as little as 8-10 minutes. It is the ideal therapy for the pain associated with withdrawal from Heroin, Suboxone®, Methadone, Oxymorphone, and Opiate pills, such as Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, and Fentanyl. We are currently the only facility in our area offering this technology.
The Bridge, and the latest medical protocols used at RecoverUS, are changing the lives of those suffering from opioid addiction by helping remove the fear of Detox.
Release
The Bridge helps with the first phase of recovery in which the brain releases the opioid from its receptors. This chemical Release is often associated with the pain of withdrawal. The brain screams for more of the chemical being released, in this case, the opioid. Dr. Ted Morter explains:
“It’s a natural protective craving by the brain. Our treatment stops this craving in its tracks, with 80-90% reduction of the symptoms right away. The device helps get our patients through the initial stage of opioid withdrawal without the fear of unbearable suffering and for most patients without experiencing any suffering at all.”
Recover
Once the addictive chemicals are released, the brain will naturally begin to Recover, the second phase.
Our integrative technology promotes healthy brain recovery by utilizing the latest medical protocols including NAD+, brain synchronization, Neurofeedback, and nutrition.
Restore
The third phase of recovery, Restore, is focused on lifestyle changes. Better choices, different relationships, and a feeling of hope is key for long-termed success.
This integrative approach is unlike anything currently being used to treat addiction and is the reason we have significantly different outcomes than other programs. The Bridge is just one high tech tool we use to solve this vexing problem that impacts every corner of our nation and its people.
The greatest fear in getting “clean” and free from the grip of opioids is the fear of withdrawal, and once we can remove that fear by offering a proven medical approach, hope is restored.
